I LOVE the color of barred rock eggs when they are light! I cannot wait for mine to get on board!
That is a great shade of green!!! Congrats!Yesterday we gained a 3rd layer. Hubby found the egg while I was at work, he said it was white! When I got home it was a definite green! Hubby swears it was white when he found it![]()
My one and only EE has joint the layers!
Here is a picture of the new green egg, next to egg #4 (in 4 days!!) from another new layer! The big egg is from my only hen. I can't believe I gained 2 new layers this week!!
For some reason I wasn't watching the EE for signs that she would be laying, she is the smallest in the flock and lowest in the pecking order! Out of my original 5 chickens she's the first!
