We have 6 red sex linked about 15-16 weeks old and just got our first egg yesterday!! Sooo exciting!

I have 2 Sagittas, 1 RIR, 1SLW, 1BO. all are about 15-16 weeks. Got one solid egg yesterday that was cracked, and two smashed one today with soft shells. Pretty sure the solid one came from "Chocolate Vanilla" as she looks the most mature with darker and larger comb and waddles. Pretty exciting!

Make sure they are eating layer feed and give them free choice calcium. Apple Cider Vinegar can help them absorb the calcium and helps the water stay fresh. pour just a bit into their water each day.

Also, it is normal for the first eggs to be a bit wrong. I had on that did not have a shell....

Talk about timing I just poured the last of my unmedicated start and grow in the container yesterday. I was planning on getting more feed tomorrow..SInce one laid and egg, guess we are onto Layena as all the girls are almost 20 weeks. SOoooo exciting.
