First Egg Countdown

Thanks, everyone! Time will tell.... Right now they're much more concerned with lounging under a bush to avoid the heat than with egg production...

@ Flowerbh - Yes, their waddles do seem to kind of "pop"... I've seen a huge change in mine over the last couple of weeks which has made me hopeful that they're getting close. I'll bet you see the same since yours are just a couple weeks behind mine. :)

Ron he's so cute! Kind of like a nerd kid trying to be a punk rocker, but not knowing how much grease to put into his mohawk

You should hear him trying to Crow!

That crest even gets into his eyes, so he has to crane around to look at you.

I love these guys so far.

My BR is 16 weeks old but has almost no comb developement or wattles yet. Does that happen rapidly once it starts or am I going to have a late bloomer? I am hoping soon because I am having family visiting in the middle of July and would love for them to have some frest eggs!

I love this pic. It looks like she's saying "what the heck is this thing your sticking in my face?"

Mama is my Buff Orpington and she's 20 weeks old. I thought I was on an egg countdown, but Mama doesn't have wattles yet.

Dorothy Gale, Columbian Wyandotte and Tripp, Barred Rock are 14 weeks. I'll be waiting a while for them.
