It happened again this morning. It is definitely her egg. I checked first thing to make sure no other eggs were in there. I sat in a chair in the run this morning and she was the only one in that nest since sunrise. Dom mother came from mcmurray. GLW dad also came from a hatchery. I love a good mystery! It will be interesting to see what color egg her sister lays.
Ahaha! That's awesome Off-Grid! You should explain to her that she's confused, and threaten to call her an EE if she doesn't straighten out and start laying brown. That should scare the green outta her.
And you know, I have no idea what kind of weird magic broodies use to transport eggs. Seriously, when I was using little silkie and cochin bantams to incubate turkey eggs, they would take them from nest-box to nest-box; stealing from each other. I have NO idea how, the eggs were half their weight and the boxes weren't connected. It weirded me out on a daily basis.
