I don't have any sources, but I don't think double yolks would hatch if it was fertilized. Not enough space inside. A double yolk is actually a glitch, and not wanted in the commercial world, but here at home, we have always considered it a bit of good luck!

Awesome! I just ordered 3 azure's from Alchemist Farm and they are just the cutest ever! Do you know how big they get? I read 4 lbs but that egg you got looks like a really good size like it came from a Maran size chicken. Thanks so much for your response
