This morning, found this egg when I let the chickens out of the coop! So exciting! Happy to know we got our chicks to this nice productive stage, especially since these are our first-ever chickens!View attachment 1542984

First eggs are such fun! Congrats!!

How old was she when she started laying? I have one who is no where near laying, winter is coming so I'm afraid she won't really start till next spring! She is 26 weeks old....All my others started weeks ago and are the same age...

What breed? Some breeds are notoriously slower to lay.
