I have 4 hens who are pretty regular layers (when not in molt, like two of them are currently). But I have a pullet who is just about at point-of-lay. It'll be any day now! And I have another who will probably not lay this year as she is only 5 months old, but as a Silkie, she will take a long time to mature...

Thank goodness. You mentioned your pullets but never mentioned your cockerel. Some newbies don't realize you need the pullet and the cockerel to get fertile eggs.

That's what I thought, too, when I looked up various egg identification pictures. And we got a second smaller one this morning, too!

Here's the lovely lady responsible for most of the eggs. I still think my NHR laid the first, but I could be wrong.

And here they all are with the first egg on top all the way down to the latest. The first seems bigger and has small white dots on it, the others are more uniform in size and color. ❤
