First egg song yesterday...today nothing?

Was looking for an old thread on the egg song topic, but didn't find one to answer my question. I heard our 21 1/2 week old BLRW singing the egg song (I think) for a couple of minutes yesterday. We haven't heard her singing again since. She has red wattles and a pink comb and doesn't squat for us.
My question is, how long from the first egg song until the first egg? A day, a week, a few weeks?

She's really close. Mine have started laying within a week of singing the egg song.

Not all my birds have squatted for me. I have a couple "independent" ones who think they are above everyone.

Mine has been singing the egg song for a month now. Just squatted yesterday. No egg yet. But only 18 weeks old.

I don't think is mathematical. Some of them sing before. Some never do. I have some girls very silent.

mine didn't sing the egg song till after she laid her egg...and that's the only time she sings is after she has lays her egg!!

Sometimes I think they are teasing me because when they sing I usually go out to collect eggs... AND bring them a treat. They have trained me well

She looks very close to a first egg. this was the worst time for us when we knew they were close to laying and checked the nest box several times a day to find them emty. very frustrating but worth the wait.

Our EE's did the same thing, some sing before and some after or if they just want us to bring them a treat.

A few of them sang the egg song a couple days before laying.

Hello Ours were singing the egg song last sat and sunday and we got 1 egg out of 5 hens on monday.1 on tue 1 on wed none thursday and two on today(friday)
but they have stopped singing.

Mine just started 2 months ago and it is still such a kick to gather the eggs when we hear the "song." Or the cackle as it often sounds around here
