She will probably lay another tomorrow....Mine just started to lay and I have gotten an egg each every day. I don't know how prolific calls are as layers and sometimes that will have something to do with it...but I would say she'll probably lay again tomorrow. I got a couple softies before from my chickens, a couple broke on the coop floor but one was in the nest and I actually got it before another hen went in and smashed it. This is the softie....still tasted good! Sometimes they happen...it is normal for first eggs to be funny sometimes.
I have chickens and duck hens (all-female) so I feed everyone layena but I also have the oyster shells out just in case. My ducks are so cute because they formed a little dish-shaped nest in the duckhouse (so proud that they both layed in there from the get-go, I didn't fancy scouring the yard) and they lay their eggs in the nest and then cover them with straw. It's so cute! I almost feel bad for taking them, but Runners seldom go broody and of course they won't hatch.....sweet little girls.....I could especially see Willow being a good mom...If she ever did, I would totally get a couple hatchers to put under her, but I would have to sell them off because I have no room really for more.
