First ever hatch!

This is only my second hatch so I'm brand new to this hobby also. My first hatch involved 2 homemade incubators (styrofoam, 12 watt lightbulb, and sponge for humidity). I only ended up with 3 total chicks from both Bator's. Two chicks hatched on July 15th and One chick July 19th. I waited till day 7 to candle but now I've been reading that some candle as soon as 72 hours. I loved reading that because I was completely in awe watching the embryonic development! I couldn't keep my hands off them and candled frequently after 7 days. This is so much fun!

Do you have any other chickens besides the 3 you hatched? I've been in the hobby for quite a while I've just never hatched eggs before. The eggs are resting now and I keep going to look at them like something will have changed lol it really is exciting.

I know and they're so addictive! I remember starting out with like three hens and then I had to have more lol my poor father. My mom and I used to tell him we ordered only about half of what the actual total was. Chicks are just so cute! Do you have a fan in your bator or no? I'm interested to see if that really has an affect on the hatch rate. Mine was originally a still air

Here's the bator before the temp and everything stabilized

And here are my little resting eggs
