I'm new to keeping chickens and this summer I got my first chicks. Our standard chicks are 6 weeks old and our Serama chicks are 4 weeks and 5 days old. There are a few chicks that I'm questioning their gender. I will update this thread with pictures as they grow. Here are the chicks in question:

It's about 93 degrees today and they have been actively free ranging all morning. Most of them weren't thrilled about getting their pictures taken. Any help you guys can give me would be much appreciated. We are hoping for all pullets. Thank you!

The dark brown "Easter egger " is a speckled Sussex.
The olive egger is on my suspect list.
Well that makes sense. I ordered a welsummer, speckled Sussex, and easter egger and they all looked very similar as babies. I thought the speckled Sussex was my easter egger and my easter egger a speckled Sussex lol. Now that I look at them I feel a little silly because one is clearly speckled and one isn't! Here's the real easter egger then:

This is your welsummer.....the first chick you posted as a Welly is your ee. The ee has green legs, the welly has yellow

Oh my goodness I had them all mixed up! They were so hard to distinguish between the three as chicks. The lines on their eyes made it particularly difficult. I thought I had it figured out. Thank you for helping me set them straight!

SS, EE and welsummer are VERY similar as hatchlings.....leg color is different (Sussex are white, welly are yellow, ee are usually green) and comb type (ss and welly will be single comb, we are usually pea). Because the ee are not a true breed the characteristics are not set in stone, which is why usually is used above.
