I know how you feel. I have been checking nest boxes each day with hopes of green eggs. It felt like it was never going to happen!

Here are my two EE pullets that are old enough to lay. I’m not sure which one laid the egg.

Is the Comb on the white and cream one as red as the other? If not then it was likely the brown one.

Good eye! You’re right, the comb is lighter on the red & white one. I think you might be right!

When did you open the nest boxes.

I've had this coop for 12 years so my nest boxes are always open. The pullets were put into this coop with the adult hens at about 13 weeks of age. I placed ceramic eggs in a few of them about 2 weeks ago, even though the adult hens are laying and showed them where the eggs go.
