Chipper, either that or your weather is as rotten as ours has been!

Cynthia, I was hoping you were gonna tell me that three was at the young end of middle age or something- I didn't realize the turnover rate was going to be quite so fast! Suede, old man, hang in there!

Cyn, any time you want to get rid of Dutch, just send him my way! I'd love, love,

LOVE to have him!

Gawds but he's a beautiful creature! Would 8 little girls be enough to keep him happy? :lol And the possibility of more on the way? I'd be happy to send a huge pan of lasagna in exchange!

James, my DH would kill me, LOL. I just did some rearranging and put my Delawares back into their own coop so I could attend to them without having to feed/worm/whatever the entire flock. Dutch now is back in the main coop and has all his old girls back and he'd better behave himself or he may find himself in new surroundings suddenly.

I am really giving alot of thought to my flock right now, where I want to be in a year or so, how we can keep the ones we want and cut down on some of the work, etc. I think your Buckeyes are so stunning, though! It was a hard decision not to get those eggs from you, buddy. I'm debating how long I'll breed the Delawares. They are such pleasant, fun birds to be around and Ike has earned his spot in our Rooster Hall of Fame around here by being just a spectacular personality.

Amy, I wish you were here so I could have a place to boot Dutchie to if he can't make peace with me. I think he'd be fine elsewhere, I really do. He was wonderful up until mean old me kept him from his girls for a couple of weeks.

Well, just so you know, you have options. Our door will always be open to Dutch. I think he's such a beautiful creature and would love to have him join our little flock. A flock that I sincerely hope will be growing by leaps and bounds in the very near future.

I have no idea what is involved with shipping a full grown roo cross country, but I'd be more than happy to pay the shipping fees to find out!
