First Hatch: Blue Orp rooster with Buff and Blue Orp hens: (Pics)

Very nice chickies! They are so pretty!

Newbie question:

Are those with that gray/blue color the blue ones? Its a beaufitul color. Will they stay that color or get darker when their feathers come in?

Bama that looks just like my bird! I had no idea what kind it is, its 3 months old.
So what kind??
thanks!

Bama, hey thanks for the pics. I was hoping the lil rascals would've stayed a chocolate color but oh well they will be pretty either way. Thanks again for the pics.

sslady thanks. Yes the grey/blue ones are the blue's and some will stay just about that color blue some will probably be darker and then some may even be a lighter shade of blue. There's no way to tell really until they feather out.

Kris, as for the bantam orps I will not have any this year as I only have the 2 pair and want to build my flock up but hopefully will have some next year.

James...
That is so not right posting pictures of those little cuties! It is going to make the wait that much longer for me...waiting for your eggs in my bator to hatch. I can't wait!

Mitzi,

Hey, I just couldn't help it, those where my first chicks from my birds and I just had to show em off. I hope you get a great hatch from your eggs also and hope you get several solid Blue chicks.

He is so gorgeous! No wonder your hubby won't let you get rid of him. Is he personable too?

Wow! Those are beautiful chicks! I'm happy to hear you have some bantams. I have a silkie Serama breeder pair I acquired on Ovabid.com from Dixiebirds.com. They are so cute, and the rooster is a real sweetheart. Do you have any Seramas?

No I don't have any Serama's right now but should be getting some eggs before to much longer. Also probably going to get a trio or 2 of grown birds.
