So I set 12 jersey giant eggs on Dec 11 at 4:45pm... I am in lockdown and I would expect hatching on New Years Day since that will be 21 days. I have been watching the eggs and I have seen a few move, I've heard one peeping...

Is it too soon to expect a pip or more peeping?

I have never done this before and I don't know what to expect but the wait is KILLING ME!!

It will be 20 full days at 4:45pm today... what should I be seeing and hearing by now?

Thanks!!!

I love this... it is so exciting...

Peeping is good. You may get some pips today. Sometimes they start on day 20. Sounds like u did a good job!

Congratulations

Your Going to have Fuzzy Butts!

they can take up to day 24 to actually hatch, Patience is the key here!

I set mine at Noon on Dec. 11th.

Go to our New Years Day hatch thread to see pics.

Out of 47 eggs at lockdown, I have one hatched and one pipped.... The hatched one took exactly 20 days to the minute!

You hear peeping. That is good! You know there is life in there. Just be patient, they will come!

Good luck!

Yeah, they don't typically follow our "hurry up & hatch" schedule. Patience, my dear. They're coming, in their own sweet time. Good luck to you!

You said you were expecting them to hatch New Years Day! It is still New Years Eve where I live.
Go out and party and then go home to bed.
In the morning when you wake up you will probably find that all is well and you have hatched a lot of chicks.
I always had the best luck when I was not watching.
