No I actually took them out and put them in the Hovabator. The Brinsea manual even suggests using a separate hatcher. I have had real good luck stabilizing temp and humidity has been 65-70%. There is a lot more room in the Hova for sure . I probably should have used the Brinsea all the way to hatch but I need it to set the 38 MFD's from bantyrooster for the Christmas hatch!

So far lots of pips starting at 0500 this morning but no zips. Of course I am starting to fret. All but two of the light brahmas have pipped and one OEG. I am not surprised the Brahmas have pipped. The eggs were huge and during the last candling those eggs were COMPLETELY filled up with baby chicks! I hope they all make it out ok since I already have them sold as day olds!

UPDATE:

These three, 2 light Brahmas, and one OEG are out of the bator and into the brooder. The Brahmas are big and active, stepping on eggs, breaking eggs, etc. So I took them out.

Two other Brahmas are out and in the bator, one the result of being stepped on while zipping. They both look good though. Best news of all my one lone surviving MFD has pipped this morning. Two more Brahmas and two OEG's are pipped and a couple zipping. Nothing so far from my two BLRW's or the 4 Salmon Favorelles. I occasionally see slight movement but that's it. Still early though.

Update:

Here's the crew so far:

6 LF Lt Brahmas
2 BB Red OEG's
1 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte

And drum roll please. zipping as we speak one Mille Fleur D'uccle. Second attempt with shipped eggs, 6 the first time, zero hatched, 6 this time one hatching! So, I am 1/12 with MFD's. But, my ace in the hole are the 38 from bantyrooster going in tomorrow!

Seven eggs left in the bator, all pipped but 2. I suspect one might be spoiled . It has a weird shell color to it. Hasn't been that way until today.
