First hatch minutes ago, normal for poult to not walk PAGE 2? VID ADDE

I have found that even 28 day turkeys take longer than chicks to get their feet under them.

It's been about 20 hours and still its not able to walk. :-/

Really really common for a poult with a rough start, most get going in a few days. Those that continue to flop or go turtle bear watching, they're weak and may pass on.

I bet it has something like shaken baby syndrom. It dropped from a couple inches on to hard wire mesh. And caused a 3 day early pre-mature pip. here is a vid. Should I cull it?

I'd give him another day or two to get to his feet, just put food where he can reach it and make sure he gets to a little water tomorrow. Poly-vi-sol can't hurt and could help - non-iron kind.

yeah, I'm heading out to TSC tonight, I am going to get a waterer for him with the smaller fount so he can't drown himself and some food. He doesn't look in pain.

I use a plastic butter tub dish lid and just put a little dribbles of water in it.

I just culled a little chick after 5 days of trying EVERYTHING including putting cloth over a tupperware bowl (drum like) and making slits for it's legs to go through. Just to keep it upright. It never was able to stand on it's own. I've had curled toes and spraddle leg chicks, but have never dealt with this leg problem before.

Come on baby, walk!

Being as it was a primie, I'd give it up to 3 days to walk on its own. After that I'd cull it.
