what should have formed 'around the yolk' formed in the yolk at cleavage?


At the pole containing less yolk, the ovum divides and subdivides, forming the blastoderm, which gradually spreads around the yolk and forms the embryo.

just sounds like she grew through the yoke and not around the yoke.
But then the yoke would have had to heal/reform around the chick.
It should have never formed or at the very least never grew to hatching!
I was going to suggest at least sending email pics to a univercity. sounds like you have a place not far? cool.

somehow she did grow through the yolk it is donut shaped and enclosed there is no yolk leak from her being through it. looks like what killed her is as the belly was trying to close at hatch it started to shrink and killed her from it pulling downward and chokeing her. i see no scientific reason how she would have finished forming let alone to live that long to pipping just before hatch. i was gonna call them on mon see what they say.

,lol. got 2 hatched out a buff and a white looking good, yeah!! waiting for them to dry now. gorgous little babies can't wait to see them all fluffy so i can take pics for ya!! found out the prob with the late hatch is due to low humidity so we upped it more. come on babies!!!

alright momma hens,lol. this is the first little baby we've all waited so long and all night to see!!!

it had one hech of a time hatching and is sleepy will take more pics later once she's up and about running around the brooder and there is a gray also working on hatching as well this is a buff baby.

this one she is laying on a bandanna,lol u can hardly see her in the pine so i needed something drk under her to see her better.

lol, thank u. no that's purple nail polish it's just chipped off.

it has the cutest little beard and so soft!! nice long clear looking down feathers i'm in awe can't wait to see the others!!!

if it's this beautiful now i can't imagine how beautiful it will be when it's all grown up! thank u so much for being here with me through this hatch i couldn't have done it without u guys last night i was going crazy!!! will keep ya posted how the others are doing.
