First hatch of the year.

How's everyone's hatches going along? No new updates?

I had to chuck out an egg that was seeping and I cracked it open outside. It had quite a while back and had just been 'cooking' while in the incubator.

I just put mine in lockdown. It is a little early but I can only see in one and it is chock full! Even the marans look really full. So I decided there was no harm in locking them down a little early. Last year I had issues with shrink wrapping so Im hoping the extra humidity will help. Still don't know if my maran eggs are fertile or not. They look full but they are impossible to see into.

Mine were suppose to hatch today. Nothing yet. i will leave them in a few extra days. (these eggs were just given to me)

I wish I knew what was going on in those maran eggs. I also bought some Swedish flower hen eggs last week and set them. Out of 10 only 2 are developing. Is it too much to hope that its a pair? My luck it will be a pair of roos.

What a nightmare. We'd been out all day and when we returned, I took a nap. Once i woke up I went to check on.the bator and it nearly 80*f!
