First Hatch Status!

OK, hatch is done! Nine healthy keets. Three hatched but died soon after - just never got strength to get up and get going. The rest didn't hatch. I think this batch was borderline due to the lower temps for the first half of the incubation.

I do have one little keet with a deformed leg. Putting off the inevitable with that one - thinking of having my husband handle that. I just love them so much and it's been a difficult thing having the newborns die after hatching. I have four pearls, three lavenders and two white ones.

In the meantime, I still have three that are due to hatch sometime next week, and over the weekend, I found a nest of about 14 eggs and we took seven out and put them in to incubate!
