Congratulations! And from shipped eggs no less. Your doing well for a first hatch.
In the staggered hatch that we've got now I did or at least think I did hear that muted peeping of a chick that's internally piped. You know, heads broken though into the air cell we try to grow the first 18 days. Hoping of the three fertile eggs that were originally set a least two hatch. Very noisy if a lone chick and they are much happier with a companion. It's day 20 here so that's on track. I did add eggs from that Sunday so may have a chick hatching as late as Monday. Hopefully it's all over by Sunday mid day so I can get the humidity back down for the eggs that were set last weekend. Will candle those after the hatch too. Wasn't 100% fertility yet but seemed 80%-ish were of what I set then.
Congrats again and keep the photos coming when they've puffed out. It's not for everyone but if the humidity is high in incubator I quickly grab the chicks out once they are sure footed to finish fluffing in brooder. The dry super fast there and if many hatching at once will never dry in incubator plus start condensation obstructing your view. Can't have that.
