Ok, so I incubated 19 eggs. A week ago, I gave 2 to a hen that went broody with no eggs. She hatched one, kicked the other out. Of my 17, I have 10 chicks as of yesterday and the day before. So, any chance these 7 will hatch? No pips, no peeps. 4 are brown and I candled... they look like they are ok. 3 are green and I've never been able to candle them, but two of those did hatch. Any thoughts? I thought if they were late it was usually temp related but the others hatched day 20 and 21...can there be this much difference?

This is what I would do; Fill a bowl with warmer water not too hot but not too cold. Take one of the egg that hasn’t hatched the exam it to make sure it has no holes in it, and put the egg in the bowl of water and let it settle and then watch it. if it starts to very slightly rock back-and-forth that means the chick is still viable

Unless you have Banties day 20 you normally don’t see any chicks. Your heat may have been a tad on the high side or may not be evenly distributed throughout your incubator. I would give them at least till tomorrow before candling/float test wouldn’t want to shrink the membrane. It’s normal for chicks to hatch day 21-22 I’ve even had day 23 stragglers that we’re perfect.
