Oh definitely, if you are quick with the candling, I also don't see it as a big deal objectively. Hens cannot sit on the eggs 24 hours a day and provide the heat as an incubator does. But subjectively, I am just really anxious about the whole incubation process and I want to do everything perfectly, so that's why I picked to wait longer.From what I have read the eggs don't cool that quick and broody hens get off the nest once a day so opening the incubator and candling them won't harm anything. But everyone has their own way to do it.
