First incubation

One more hatched, no more movement from the others. Gonna clean up and start over. Thanks for the support soon. as I get a picture of the new chick. I pretty sure she's an Austria white. Australorp X white leghorn. The other ones we have are very friendly.

Glad to hear another hatched...I know how disappointing it is when some just don't hatch. :hugs

Are you planning to do eggtopsies on the unhatched? I find them very informative.

I didn't even know that was a thing, I guess that's what we should do this time. I went and bought different thermometers today.

By these thermometers we were running at 92. I wish I would have bought different thermometers because this Chinese one that came with this incubator failed us. I guess I should get a hygrometer to. Any suggestions?

Ah, that's a shame that the temperature was too low - but at least you know for next time.

I have this one: http://incubatorwarehouse.com/incubator-remote-thermometer-hygrometer.html. The probe doesn't fit through the vent hole in the Hova-Bator 1588 (it also says that on the website), but the hygrometer seems pretty accurate. The thermometer on mine seems to be off by a couple of degrees, though. Ironically, I also have a Vick's thermometer/hygrometer that I use in my refrigerator because the temperature is accurate, but not the humidity reading.

I'm debating on relying these thermometers I just bought or wait on that one to get here.
