First night in their coop :-)

My chickens are spending their first night in their coop The coop is finally finished enough for them to sleep in side safe from harm

. I have been taking photos of our coop from the very beginning and will post photos once it is all painted and pretty. The girls (and cockerel) were a little unsure of the coop and were all huddled together in the corner. So cute

Thank you! We got them from a local person who hatches and raises the chicks. These are our first chickens and I absolutely LOVE them! My niece and nephew are staying with us this week and were cracking up at me talking to the chickens and telling them all about their new coop. lol!!!

I do not think so, but I can check-- I found them on Craig's List-- located in Ross Township, Ohio-- Craigslist city Cincinnati.

I got out of bed to check the backyard from our upstairs rear-facing window... there is a raccoon wandering around the back of our property--- now I don't know if I can get back to sleep

! I thoroughly believe our coop is safe, but don't want to take any chances! Tomorrow we are adding a combination lock with a chain to the front doors of the coop for sure!!

OK--- Make that 4 raccoons--- guess I will have to head over to the predator forum and find out what I need to do!
