Once they start to zip they are good to go. Just take the whole top off. If you see blood, stop, but thatst very, very unlikely.
Here is a video of the underside of him... can’t make out what this is, but It looks like yolk under where his head is?
Should I continue breaking some shell?
Looks like he might come out when the shell where the x is marked is removed.
His wing looks to be over his head and neck, and It looks like the wing is stuck in place by dried membrane
