First pip, wrong end of the egg

I know! I can see that tiny little beak in there and those little peeps...so tempting but I'm being impatiently patient :gig

Wine would do me in for sure, I should try that!
Yes, I see wine in my near future, lol.
@007Sean you nailed it. Some of the ones I tried to help didn't make it and I wonder if I'd have left them alone...and one I had to even cull 2 days later because it was clearly going to die if I didn't. Yep...wine for sure.

Since it pipped at the wrong end that counts as an internal pip because it did not pip into the air cell. Does that make sense?

Yes, it makes perfect sense. We just have a hole into the big wide world instead of into the air cell while it finishes getting ready to hatch.

I promise, hands off until then!

I helped the little peeper this morning. It filled that egg up, no way was it going to turn in there to zip. No blood. It has 2 other chicks in the bator to hang out with that hatched on their own over night.

Thank you! I'm really happy with the outcome. No curled toes that I can see. It was up and running around in short order with the other two. Now it's pretty crazy in there. Last I checked there were 10 that have hatched and more that are pipped and zipping.

I'll examine each when I move them to the brooder later.
