First quilt block swap 2016

Yay! I just sent off my blocks they should be there soon. I made my blocks using 12 different fabrics here are 2, the first is a nice deep chocolate

This next one is special to me and maybe fenrosie might like it too. My family has always been dryland wheat and barley farmers so conservation, till, fallow all those have ment everything to them .We only get 10 to 15 inches of moisture a year here.


I'm anxious to get this one put together!

Nice Blocks! I can't wait to see all the different blocks! I took a pic of my blocks with my phone, but I don't know how to get them from there to here!

I send my pics from my phone to myself via e-mail and then down load them and then post them to the site, I'm sure there is an easier way but that's how I do it.

You may have all noticed I have been keepin quite over this last week, I nearly chickened out! I went to my mothers and had an awful week with her, she is loosing the plot big time now! Came home thinking I had a week to sew to find that the kids were on half term, I thought it was next week! Think I'm loosing the plot!
Anyway I have finished!!! Can't say I'm proud of all of my blocks so please forgive me if you get one that is not quite right.
Rusty Hen your right, I do love the wheat print, maybe the wonderful Kat will send one my way, I do hope so.

I have made the note to make sure you get a wheat block!! Yes I'm seen your website, very interesting and lots of work, the last time you mentioned it you were cooking for a whole bushel of visitors, (yep I tried to make a wheat joke)lol

love the finished quilts, I saw Mary's very lovely, wow I need to learn how to do that, but I couldn't figure out yours. I wonder if that will be Mary's ALQS10?
Sorry to hear about your mom and don't worry about your blocks, I'm sure they are all just beautiful and perfect. Never saw one from anyone that wasn't. We are here for you 24/7

It's good to hear from you fenrosie! I too, am sorry to hear about your mother. That can't be easy.

I checked out your links. Very interesting project. I saw Mary's quilt, but didn't see yours. I stand amazed at that kind of talent and imagination. Very nice work!! Your blocks will be just beautiful! Excited to see everyones!
