Good luck JR!! I'm rebuilding my flock from a weasel problem as we speak they just about wiped me out in 2 nights! Got them caught finally now we are trapping wild hogs out of our corn!!

Good luck with the trap JR!

I have picked 4 of the 5 CX's that will be surviving Camp Day.

I took the two friendliest and the two that were chasing bugs the furthest from the flock, I have one more to go.

Pictures forth coming of the friendly ones.

I named them Miss Piggy and Kermit, because they will be frog and toad parents, with luck!

Best of luck Ralph. Ive got to give some serious thought to what I'M going to restock with. I'm going to order some of welps slow broilers for sure. I want some more plymouth rocks, probably go with the barred this time around

Thanks JR, it only takes a second to smash our plans as you well know.

This is Miss Piggy.

Getting some treats and introducing herself to Pearl. who was overjoyed at finding out Miss Piggy was here for life.

my trap is a smaller version of what I used to build to trap hogs

Happy Hunting!!
I think your trap is awesome! I hope that whatever took out your flock gets the end of a shotgun. After I lost about 20+ of my hens to a predator this month, that also saw the end of a shotgun, I will never apologize for doing what we did.

There is nothing worse to me than arriving to see your hens completely decapitated, dead and laying there day after day. This happened to us every day for 2 weeks before we were able to stop it.

I love these girls. I take care of them every day, petting them and snuggling the ones that will let me as I collect their eggs, feed and water them. I may make money from their eggs but having them is so much more for me. It is therapy. They are a escape from the craziness of life. I avoid pain killers and anxiety meds because of these sweet girls. When I am stressed and exhausted from daily work, they help me relax and feel like somebody actually cares. I LOVE my chicken! No matter how silly that may be to some.
