First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

Chicken Girl, "Ugly" is the bird that shouldn't BE.... She is a throwback... She looks like an oriental game! Marans and Cornish had Oriental Game in their foundation stock. She doesn't have a comb or wattles... traits that are the hallmark of Saipan, she also has a very upright posture. Since I still have a few Saipan running round..... Im curious to see what her offspring will look like. Will the Oriental traits express stronger? Or will something entirety DIFFERENT pop out

that will be neat to see just don't send me any. A 3 foot bird would make me give up chickens. I have a hard enough time with my normal size roosters.

Well the outbreak of bird flu in Europe is now here in the U.K.

The birds have been on lockdown contained to there sheds since December 6th.
Due to the lack of excercise one of my hybrid meat roosters has now developed leg problems, so looks to be my first victim

Luckily he is only my backup.

prayers he is the only one

so they have to be locked in a building? a enclosed run that wild birds could not get into (1/2" HWC) is not allowed?... although that would get pretty expensive anyway
