This was extremely informative for me. First off,although I like being able to see all of the eggs using an uninsulated container was down right stupid. Secondly, using a dimmer switch on the light bulb was ANOTHER bone head move. The temperature is influenced to easily from the the surrounding room temp.Also, after 10 minutes the BRIGHT NAKED LIGHT BULB BECOMES EXTREMELY ANNOYING.

Live and learn. I have a snap action switch to replace the dimmer switch with. I also plan to stop by home depot after work tomorrow and by some insulated Styrofoam

56 eggs yesterday. Ran out to the hen house during a lull in the deluge and grabbed another 46 today. Probably more by now,but I'm not wading back through the mud and water to find out. The egg that is pipping in the incubator came from Foghorns pen.

A big suprise,one of the abnormally large blue eggs is developing. It's bigger than the Royal Palm Turkey eggs.
Can't wait to see what kinda hybrid pops out of this one.lol
