First Run of Cornish Cross Meat Birds and Super Excited!

I was doing some reading on Cobb's site about these and the cobb 700
Cobb and sasso joined forces in 2008. But there isn't a lot of input from people with hands on experience with these birds. And I still believe the birds you have access to are of a higher quality.

There are a good 25 of these guys running loose. They DON'T get the good feed. I make them free range for a large part of their diet.

I've got two in the new crop,that all came from my blue eggers crossed with the Saipan hybrids that I'm keeping on the 24% for another week then putting them on 18% till they crow.Gonna see if I can tell a difference

The whites are Saipan x welps slow grow cx

They have a lot more dark meat. The breast has a very long keel that needs more width

Dave that's great. Are your sasso the colored slowgrow variety?

Yes mate, I've crossed them with Sasso medium growth birds.
