First, Second, Third and on and on Incubator hatch help appreciated

Pics
Congratulations on the hatch.
next time take them out right away as soon as they are dry. it's best if your birds can get on food before they are 6 hours old. this is very important for the development of their gastrointestinal tract and their immune system .
one way to help JumpStart the development in their GI tract (which will result in more rapid development of the immune system) is to give them each a drop orally of Bovidr Labs poultry Nutri drench when they hatch. then get them on their feed and water before they are 6 hours old.
it will make a difference in their final maturity.
Best ,

Well no more hatches from those 1 run eggs. The 4 that did not hatch were not moving at all (something all viable eggs did for us since 18 days). So we opened them up from the air sack. We found what looked to be fully developed dead chicks. 2 were pointing to the wrong end. One still did not asorb all of the yoke. and the last was just a quitter.
So I cleaned out the bator and got here back up and running set to <30% humidity and to 100.5. We have 12 fertile eggs under a hen right now. They are mutts from the neighbor. We will take 6 eggs tomorrow and leave her six and see who hatches better. we are at day 11/12 with those eggs so we also will compare hatch days.

I checked the temp with my fluke and it was within a .1 degree at all times from heater kick on to off. In fact It saw a 97.7 as the heater kicked off where unit saw a 97.6.but on low side it saw 99.5 when heater would kick on.

Neat experiment with the 6 eggs.
Keep us updated how they all do too please.

Yes I was just going to post that here since it was a spur of the moment idea. The app hatchback lost this at day 13. But they were not set till 8 at night. So I'm think more day 11. So I put them at 100.5 and 28%RH. To start

Thanks everyone for all the help.

I've heard that the hatchback app starts on day 1 right at set time, instead of day 1 beginning after 24 hours, like it should be. Most people who use it now don't start the app till 24 hours after setting. i figured they would have fixed the app by now!

That is good to know. I'll try that with the next set of eggs. I know others in town the have roos with hens. He said he don't know if there fertile. And this guy wants more hens from me. I'll get some eggs from him when we drop off two 8 month old RIR . We trying to weed the last few other of the flock.

Thanks Scott

Ok so today would be day 17 since we set the eggs @ 8pm cst on sept 13th. These pics are from day 16. we have been running 25-28% RH and 100.5-100.9(I moved temp a few day 14) we will move it back down at lockdown. They were all kicking and moving at
this candling. I caught the hen gizmo (splash Americana) sitting on the wrong eggs when I came home on Thursday. I swiftly moved her back onto the now cool eggs.
