So when do you think the umbilical cord will fall off?

once its dry enough it will become brittle and come off how's ted moving around yet

The umbilical cord takes a while to dry out and fall off, that's why if it doesn't pull apart on it's own, I suggest tying it up near the chick with floss or thread and cutting it. If you put it in with other chicks while it's still dragging it around the ther chicks will most likely peck at it. As for the membrane, eventually it will wear off. It just wonlt fluff up until it does.

I have seen a lot of people ask this and folks always tell them to let nature take its course. It will fall off. I have never had it so I'm not sure how long.
