That's for you to decide. You can widen the pip and make sure the membrane isn't dry and he's in the right position, and if he is put him back to do his thing, or give him more time. If you find he's not in position or in distress, then you know you will probably need to help.

I almost said Mick Jagger, but I figured it was a little before his time and that the beak didn't look big enough to be a Mick Jagger...lol

He widened the pip to about 3x the size, thought he was zipping but nothing new.
