So when I take ted out I am going to candle for internal pip, if I see one what do I do? If I dont what do I do?
You're going to be happy there's still more action and wait..again...lol

I think ted may have messed up toes on left foot, toes arent pointy straight out curled a little bit. What is this called? Is there a link to bac page about it?

It's called curled toes....(pretty obvious huh? lol ) and here's a link to help you with that... http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/02/spraddle-leg-in-baby-chicks-what-is-it.html
A "sandle" or "boot" will usually correct that.
Who didn't see this coming? Amy, you wanna tell him about the sandals?
Done, sir!

I think if you look up "curled toes" you'll find some sandals or boots, but I'll tell you what I did anyway. My little psycho chick was scratching herself behind the neck, actually scratched it raw and bloody! One of her feet was a little curled too. I took a piece of that medical tape that is more like paper, and taped her feet (more because it made her not be able to scratch herself, but it also straightened out her toes) I set her foot on it and wrapped it up and over. Pressed it between the toes too. It stayed on better than I thought, and it came off fairly easily too.

How is the little pyscho anyway? That is an adorable pic of her.

She (he) is actually great! Just a little smaller than the others, but catching up. Had her isolated for a good week (fed her higher protein feed, etc. during that time), but she still didn't eat as much. She's a little pig now, seems if I see one chick alone at the feeder, its her! Big-girl feathers are coming in on the back of her neck, faster than the others are getting replacement feathers. Its so cute LOL Thanks for asking....

And I meant to say I only left the tape on her feet for 2-3 days and it did the trick!

DO I need to seperate Ted from Chip and Mic? If so how can I do that in 1 brooder? I only have 1 feeder and 1 waterer
Just make sure you don't put him in there until he can stand up for himself. If they do attack him incessantly you can try to take them out for a couple hours, (box beside the brooder where they can share light/heat) leaving Ted in there and then reintroduce them that way and see if it helps.

In a pinch I've made a cardboard divider for my brooder, making a cutout for the water bowl and the food bowl. That allows the weaker or younger chicks to stay on one side of the wall, and the more active to stay on the other. Just make it tall enough that no one can fly over. I also have a hardware cloth screen that allows them to interact, but I don't use that unless I have to separate one that is already part of the group, to avoid distress.
