cole you just need to give ted more time it's important that he's drinking more than anything else If the yoke was completely absorbed he can go without food or water for 3 days. if he's drinking and or eating at all your way ahead of the game .if your this attentive over a little chick you must have drove your wife nuts over your children. You have really struck with it today. We're all proud of you now get some rest.

If you
Looks like all the eggs left have developed chicks but no internal pip :(. All the air cells in those eggs are either very large or weird shapped

We're wishing you both good luck! You got this. Just give yourself and the little guy some time.

While this is what the experts tout....and I disagree in normally hatched chicks, I woould be very careful applying the three day philosophy to a chick that had problems hatching especially one that was drying out in the shell. I would hypothesize that they would be at a greater danger of dehydration and less apt to let them go after hatch w/out water and would even push electrolytes.

I gave Psycho chick the Sav-A-Chick Probiotic and the Electrolyte/Vitamin supplements, since she was eating and drinking less while her episodes were happening for her first week. I can't guarantee that's what saved her, but I believe in my heart that it helped. I also gave her the higher protein feed that I was giving the ducks. She's a feisty little thing now. (hmmm, seems she's a lot like her momma LOL) I wish I had marked the other chick that I had isolated with her for a few days. I have no idea which one it was now! So I can't tell if its bigger than the rest or anything. They all look so much alike.

I'm going to agree with Amy on this one. The chicks with leg and feet problems always have a hard time getting to the food and water. You're going to have to force the water on him for a day or two. That could be the difference between life and death. I also agree with the electrolytes, or Sav-a-Chick if you can get some. That will help with the curled toes as well
