First time hatcher attempting pea fowl & need help!

I purchased 6 eggs locally and placed them in a Styrofoam incubator on 8/18 (32 days today) held the temp at 99.5 (does not have a humidity gage so no idea exactly). Have tried reading up through this process to what, when and how to do all the right things. Which I feel confident we have been and when we candled them they appeared to resemble images of fertil eggs back at the half way point.
But again this is now day 32 and NOTHING seems to be even attempting to hatch. There still appears (based on smell anyway) no "bad" eggs. Im unsure of trying to candle again or attempt the float test based on things Ive read (mostly good but fear the bad if true) Most of what I read on peafowl says 28-33 days, so how long should I hold out any hope before calling this an epic heart breaking failure?

Hello and welcome aboard. I'll tag @Pyxis for you. She's awesome and knows alot about hatching. She also has peachicks, and lots of hatching experience! Hope all goes well. And be patient, she may not be on the site till a bit later, she works odd hours.

If you don't see any pips, its safe to candle them again. At this point, you should see mostly darkness, with the air cell visible. Look for beaks in the air cell, and movement. Also notice if the air cell has drawn down or not.

I do not recommend the "float test". Have seen too many false negatives, and folks open eggs that still contain live chicks.

@Shawna73, I would candle them again. As said above, they should be dark.

I agree with WV and Kathy that you can candle them and look for signs of life. Also, you mention the temperature you had them at, but not the humidity, although you said it does have a hygrometer. What was your humidity for the first 25 days, and what do you have it at now for lockdown?
