First Time Hatcher Hatch-A-Long

Awww. Congratulations they are soo cute. What are their names.

Not sure if this was directed to me or not. But Bandit (previously Boss Baby), Charizard, Donald (one of our drakes is Daisy so we figured if we named Donald it would be a girl ), and Firestorm. My 8.5 year old helped name them and we based them off the letter of the egg. A and E didn’t make it (1 was infertile and the other and early quitter)

Following along because KillerBs is following my hatch along thread and I am very excited for you and your hatches! I am getting a little discouraged because today is supposed to be hatch day for the majority of mine (long story) and I haven't seen so much as a wiggle. I feel like I did everything right and I am going to be very very sad if at least one doesn't hatch

Also to the other poster who mentioned swapping hatching eggs - I would love to get in on that as well! I'll have to wait and see what hatches, but I would love to try this hatching thing again!

5 chicks, no internet. 2 more pipped. 1 just sitting there. Wondering if it's safer to quickly pull out the dry chicks to put them in the brooder or to leave them all in the incubator overnight.

@Iluveggers Thanks. Hate doing this on the phone.

Decided to leave them in the incubator. The outdoor brooder is safe and dry but a thunderstorm would be a bad way to spend a first night in the world's.

The internet is back and I have 6 fluffy chicks ready for the brooder this morning. 2 unhatched.

I will transfer the little ones and check the remaining eggs after breakfast.
