First time hatcher - Setting April 8 or 9 - Now what?

Ok, so I'm going to lock down tomorrow.

What's the theory behind the higher humidity the last 3 days?

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

I just checked on the eggs and there are 4 brown eggs pipped for sure, and one brown egg that might have a pip on the pointy end.

I'm pretty sure I heard a peep this morning as I hovered over the incubator

Pacsman I am not sure about the exact science, but chicks that dry out to much have a very hard time getting out of the shell. They may become "shrink-wrapped", where the membranes are tightly adhered and they can't turn in the shell to unzip after pipping.

6 chicks so far this morning!

going into lock down in the morning but I have upped the humidity already since I have to open the incubator to add water and turn other eggs i have in there. NO sounds, NO pips as of yet but as of last night all 13 were moving in the eggs.

So, I locked down just after I added all this water. I'm only up to 75% right now.
Seems to go up about a degree every 10 minutes. Should I worry?

And yes, you need to obsess over my hatch too! (grin)
