Hi! So I maintained a humidity around 30% but I think maybe 35% would be good as one of my chicks got shrinkwrapped on possibly day 18 before I upped the humidity. It was fine day 17 when I candled and then on the first day of lockdown I candled them one last time and the shrinkwrapped egg looked different than it had 2 days before.
The first chick hatched on day 19, that was 2 weeks ago today! The next chick didn't hatch until day 20. All but 3 hatched on day 20 total. Then on day 21 the last 3 hatched...or two might have hatched overnight into day 22.
I had 14 good eggs go into lockdown but only 10 hatched
One shrinkwrapped and one looked like it must have pipped into a blood vessel and bled out. The other two just didn't hatch. When I opened them up on day 24 after float testing them they both did not have their beak under their wing, which says malpositioned. Not sure how that hinders them from hatching but I don't know if that did or if they just died. They were alive on day 17. But that's Seramas, though. I read a lot that they just sometimes die for no reason as there is something in their genes that causes this. I haven't taken pictures of them today yet, but I will.
