First time hatching chicken eggs and I have a couple questions

Today at 5:00 PM is day 21. When I got home from work I was pleased to see 2 chicks had already come out. There are still 8 eggs unhatched in the incubator.

Question 1: How long should I leave the hatched chicks in there?

Question 2: Will having them move the unhatched eggs cause any problems?

Question 3: How long should I leave the unhatched eggs in there waiting for them to hatch?

And OMG these babies are just too cute!!

Hi,

1. They can stay in there for around 24 hours. Let them stay at least until they are good and dry.

2. No, it shouldn't bother them. Just check to make sure no pips get rolled over so they can't get air.

3. Some people leave the eggs up til day 24. Most of the time, though, they hatch day 21 or 22 if they're going to.
