first time hatching indian runner ducks (and ducks in general)

Welp, day 26: 2 external pips, one is on the wrong side of the egg :( I don't see any blood though so hopefully he'll make it out fine. I'll wait till unzip and see if the small end is big enough for him to get out.
 
Most times they can still hatch fine from the wrong end. But if they are too close to the tip and/or if the air cell is unusually large, they could have trouble turning.

Just keep an eye out for the membrane to start drying out. You don't want that to happen.

Another thing to keep in mind about wrong-enders is that they didn't use the air cell air, so they can take longer. They skip the internal pip stage (up to 24 hours-ish) so don't be surprised if its over 48 hours before it tries to zip.
