These will be my first banties!

I hope they all hatch-- I am concerned about the irregular shaped air sacs. I read some where here on BYC that that is not unusual in shipped eggs....

it can take twenty-four hours and sometimes longer from pip to hatch, although some are quicker

patience is required, and walking away from the incubator is also helpful

good luck

Wish you all a good hatch. One more week and we should be seeing some little chicks(I hope

). There was bad storm yesterday and was afraid of loosing power, but thankfully that didn't happen. I'm already debating a round 3

? Maybe just a few more of the turkeys, since they are still laying so good. We are going to have to stop some time.

Okay, the lil peeper, on day 18, busted free last nite about 8:30p.m.
When we awoke this morning the lil thing is still wet?
It is still moving around and peeping.
How long does the drying take?
What if 3 days go by and none others are ready to hatch...
What do I do.
Please advise, I'd appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks.

Speaking from my vast experience with one successful hatch

, my first chicks did seem to take a long time to dry.
about the others--I would just try to be patient--I know some folk here on BYC wait up to 24 or 25 days before giving up....

Okay, I understand 24-25 days for waiting.
What I meant was what do I do with this little peep who hatched on day 18, when the others are still in lock down beyond 3 additional days?
Wont it need to eat/drink in 3 days?
Once this lil guy is dry, or 3 days have passed, should I steam up my bathroom and remove him quickly?
I'm just trying to develop a plan.
I'm sure my next hatching will not be so stressfull.
Thanks again.
