first time incubating

I skipped the whole iguana post when I saw "pipped" lol
I didn't know iguanas were vegan nor that they take 90 days! That would definitely be torture to incubate! What do you do with the eggs? Let her incubate them?

Nope they lay and walk away. Incubation temp is only 80° so they would be warm enough just being outside in summer time. Recommendation online is to freeze and toss them because iguanas lay 30-70 eggs at a time and I would never be able to find homes for them. I was only gonna keep a few safe because a friend wants them

Omg! Im so excited for you! With the pip being low, did anything come out with it, liquid? Is it closer to the end you opened or the other end? Is the hole big enough for him to breathe clearly? If no liquid and the pip is big enough, it would be best to just wait and see how it goes. Keep talking to him and try to keep him active.

Its on the part of the egg facing upwards so nothing came out. Near the mid section slightly more towards the pointy side

The hole kinda looks like a pyramid about the size of a dime. Then one triangle piece suddenly went straight up and it looks dark like the membrane under it is open. The egg has been shaking and im not sure but I think he may he cracking it down the back side that I can't see. I can also see through the hole that I made as well and it looks like breathing motions constant, it was doing that since I opened it though

That's good news. Maybe it is starting to zip. How is the membrane that you exposed looking? Still moist? The usually zip in a counter-clockwise direction, although that's a little hard to determine, since he may be upside down. You should be able to hear chirping now. Have you heard anything?

I can't tell if he's making noise cause I have the other babies in the room. Lol
