I don't have either of those, (I have chocolate and lavender orps though). Beautiful breeds, but I have no idea what the cross will look like.

Whenever I've had air cells that were small or ones I wasn't quite sure if it had died & it was time for lockdown, I just put a "?" on the egg & put it in the hatcher.
Most of the the time those "?" eggs didn't hatch, but there were a few that did.

I was referring to the 1st post on the 1st page - as yes, I'd hard for even members like me who've been on BYC on years, but can't keep up with such active threads.

But, it was more to refer to the Hatching 101 section & other links Sally Sunshine & others have compiled to help make the information more accessible.

I agree with all that! I'm just saying when new folks come and ask a direct question, I try to help when I can. Sometimes its just a little hand holding and encouragement.

The ones that want to research and dig through all the info, it's there. You had already offered that info, so I was just adding my 2 cents. I tend to think newbies will read more of that info after they get some personalized help.

Not trying to be argumentative, so please don't think I am. The diversity of this site is one of its best assets. What works for some, doesn't always work for others.

Not to discredit the links you posted.....The best help I got was from WVduckchick and Ravynfallen on how to hatch my Duckling and chicks.......No need for disputes.......i totally stand behind great help.....

Amen! I wasn't trying to disagree either. I totally agree with the advice you gave & I think it's best to give clear, direct answers like you did.
I had just answered "quickly", in hopes the post would be noticed & others would join in & give their advice / help also. All teamwork.
