In the Brooder
Hello! My name's Gray, I'm helping out my family with their animals while I take a gap year. We've got rabbits, cats, dogs, and
we just hatched a little flock of quails! We first bought some quail chicks back in September, and since raising them went smoothly we decided to incubate a mix of collected and purchased eggs. As it turns out, incubation and hatching are a whole new rodeo. Currently we've got 13 adults and 13 babies, all coturnix quail, and these wonderful birds find new ways to cause problems every single day. I think they're the most beautiful little creatures I've ever seen, and I've been reading so many articles from byc to make sure I'm caring for them properly! Hopefully I get to the point where I can give my own advice someday, but for now I'm here to learn.
