Sadly,all six of my eggs were not fertile

.I just tossed them.I'll try another brand at the local health food store.

All my health store eggs weren't fertile either

So have another brand in there now - shhhh don't tell hubby - he only knows about the 12 sussex eggs not the 4 from the store and the 4 from my girls extra

I hope he doesn't count the eggs!

Well it's official, I have 3 little yellow baby ducks and a 4th one has pipped! Yeah!

Go little duckies, go!

I am waiting for everyone to get done hatching and get dried off before I bring them back home. I don't want anyone to get chilled and get sick.

I will post pics as soon I can.

My five due this week are due later in the week from the look of it. Then more next week and the week after that and I'm collecting again in case none of these go well. They are all pullet eggs so I'm not expecting terrific results. Just being patient and trying.

The five due this week are all veined nicely and near full development, not drawn down yet so probably thurs or fri. rather than sooner.

LOCK DOWN Wooo Hooo, finally got there! I was up early today, and did all I had to put us in lock down....

Im ready and cant wait!!!

Now check this out, DH called late last night, wants to us to leave today to mom's house over night, leave at 10am today, until tomm. night at 10-11pm!!!! Im in LOCK DOWN!!! and feel my hatch will come early, Ive worked so hard and waited for this hatch!!!

Wants me to go to show Ma how to candle eggs, But...she is not starting eggs until Tomm night or the next day!!!

First time doing this! I tried to candle some of the eggs I have in the incubator (day 8) and could not see anything. All the eggs have brown shells, I tried with the lighter ones.
Is this normal? Is it to early? Please help!
