Having geese in with other fowl for "protection" is a dream. They are an alarm at best. They may chase off a rat or the neighbors cat and maybe a possum if your lucky. But other than that they don't stand a chance against a determined predator. Keeping them apart will be nearly impossible unless they can not see or hear each other. If the can they will find each other and pace the fence non stop trying to get to each other. Single geese do not do well at all.
