:help My children and I bought 2 duck eggs today and put them in the incubater that Santa gave them I am very confused about turning. Do the eggs lie on their side? Help!!

Duck eggs need special conditions, higher humidity. It would be important to look that up and make sure you have that.
I believe they are like chicken eggs in that if you use cartons or egg turners put them pointy side down. On their side is also ok though, that is how the mother duck has them.
Have you warmed up you incubator and got it going for at least half a day and preferably two days before putting in the eggs? If not, if you just put them in say in the last twenty minutes and if they are fresh, you can take them out again and have them wait in stasis for a bit while you prep the incubator. Make sure it is running evenly and holding temperature.
Also if this is relevant my new incubator (possibly it was the plastic automatic turner) off-gassed quite a bit and if I were to do it again I would rinse it out well before hand at least ( and then dry it well) and let it run a little longer before putting the eggs in.
